It is an icy Christmas evening in South Norseland. Sigbritt is driving home in the darkness when Odin - a tiny old man, with a single twinkling eye - appears on the road before her. He is cold, lost and wants only to go home. But with no identification and far fetched tales of an unknown island, he is deemed instable and incarcerated.
When Odin's story is leaked to the media, chaos ensues. Soon the government is embroiled in crisis, and religious groups, nationalists and extremists are fighting over the mysterious stranger, determined to adopt him as their icon.
Confused and frightened, Odin appears hopelessly trapped. Sigbritt, it seems, may be the only person who can help him escape.
A mythical quest with a bitter contemporary twist, Odin's Island is a terrifyingly original satire.
